HES is celebrating teachers today! We have several teachers who have been working this summer for OUR kids and OUR school! Kirby Gibson and Dalila Pedroza were accepted into the English Language Learner Academy and both have begun courses to help our students! Sarah Richard and Kasey Johnston were both accepted into the National Board Certification Academy where they will work the next two years to become National Board Certified! This is a lengthy process where they will focus on moving kids academically and improving their teaching skills all around! Carla McDougald has completed her master's degree for Library/Media! We also have a few more teachers currently working on their masters degrees: Sydney Kidwell and Amy Evans. We are so proud of all of these team members and cannot wait to watch them continue to positively impact students at HES! Hermits do truly LEAD the way! #HermitsLEAD

Great big SHOUT OUT to our 7th grade students in Keycode with Mrs. Lisa. They created original pieces, then wrote the code to create an action on a small screen. They certainly stretched their thinking and coding skills! #hermitslead
